What is the "Expect A Miracle" Foundation?

The Carolyn Gable “Expect A Miracle” Foundation (a 501(c)(3) organization) offers assistance to the single women and men who are working and trying to do well for their children, but are unable to provide the extracurricular activities that help a child build strong character to succeed in today's society. The Foundation helps working, single parents, and all proceeds from this event will be going to the Expect A Miracle organizations.

How do I apply for a scholarship?

Our generous sponsors have enabled us to offer scholarships to women who can not afford the entire registration fee. Applying for a scholarship is simple! Please click here for more details.

What should I bring?

Casual, comfortable clothing. Most of our events will be taking place inside, but a few activities may be held outside. If you will be joining us for yoga, please bring your own mat.

Are meals included?

Yes, all meals are included. Please notify us of any food allergies or special needs.

What if I only want to attend on Saturday?

We offer a single day package for $225. The bulk of the retreat activities will take place on Saturday, and if you cannot enjoy the entire weekend with us, this is a great option.

Are children allowed to attend?

Please keep in mind that this retreat is geared towards adult women. However, we know some women who really want to attend this retreat will be unable to secure a sitter for their children. If you must bring your children, please contact us to make necessary arrangements. We want every woman to attend that has a desire to do so, and we will work with you to eliminate all roadblocks in your way.

Are accommodations included in the registration fee?

No. However, Lake Lawn Resort is offering a very special rate for the retreat. If you have any questions regarding local hotels, please let us know.

Is there any transportation to and from the event?

We want you to be here! If you can’t get here, we will work with you to make arrangements. We don’t want the lack of transportation to be an excuse!

How do I register for breakout sessions?

At this time, we are not asking anyone to pre-register for the breakout sessions. After you register, you will be asked to complete a quick survey indicating your interest level in the existing breakout sessions, but that is only to help us plan. You can decide which breakout sessions you would like to attend when you arrive.

Is this retreat affiliated with any particular religion?

Our focus is to enrich the spiritual and emotional well being of all retreat participants, but we are not a religious based organization. Everyone should feel welcome to attend.
